Let me start with...I love my 2 person/3+ season tent made by Marmot. Never had a problem with it for over ten years. Having said that, I think the idea behind the design of the tent is great...a near complete mesh tent, great for airflow, visability, but still keeping out the smallest insects. The rainfly is bomber. The roominess is perfect, both interior and under the rainfly's vestibule. The amount of interior storage pockets are hugely numerous...but construction of those pockets are very...very...poor. I have had and used tents for decades and had no problems with damaging them. The first time I used this tent with my family, we ripped two interior storage pockets. Admittingly, I did the first and my 3 year old did the other. Because the pocket seams are sewn into the mesh walls, the slight pressure on the pockets caused the pocket seams to rip and in-essense ripped the interior/exterior wall. I have known Marmot to make bomber...durable tents, but I think this one is the pretty, glass-house that you have got to be leery of.

We just used this tent on a 6 day bike ride in Indiana and were very pleased. Its compact, light, sturdy and we survived an all night rain without a leak. This is the 4th tent we've used on bike rides and its now our favorite. Taking it again today on a 7-day ride. Our biking partners have had the same tent for 3 years and it shows no wear.

Giant for 2-3 people, like double doors and easy set up. Haven't taken it out yet so we'll see. (Like they say in Minnesota)
We will mostly use for river trips in the Idaho, Utah, Wyo and California areas and car camping everywhere. Tent stakes are a joke and we will replace. Other than than looks good, a little light for a 4P, but heavier is heavier. What do I see that might be improved- a little higher fabric up the wall-desert wind storms are murder. Poles seem to be stout, so I think they're fine. I have a SD Comet that has slightly bent poles- after 10 years- so what? Stake it
down, have some parachute cord for helpers. Should be good.

With the very long tent poles, this tent took three of us to set up. Not possible to do on one's own. I can't imagine setting it up in extreme wind. We had 10-15 mile winds and it took a good twenty minutes. My Eureka Timbeline takes 5 minutes maximum and can be set up by myself.
