With the very long tent poles, this tent took three of us to set up. Not possible to do on one's own. I can't imagine setting it up in extreme wind. We had 10-15 mile winds and it took a good twenty minutes. My Eureka Timbeline takes 5 minutes maximum and can be set up by myself.

Giant for 2-3 people, like double doors and easy set up. Haven't taken it out yet so we'll see. (Like they say in Minnesota)
We will mostly use for river trips in the Idaho, Utah, Wyo and California areas and car camping everywhere. Tent stakes are a joke and we will replace. Other than than looks good, a little light for a 4P, but heavier is heavier. What do I see that might be improved- a little higher fabric up the wall-desert wind storms are murder. Poles seem to be stout, so I think they're fine. I have a SD Comet that has slightly bent poles- after 10 years- so what? Stake it
down, have some parachute cord for helpers. Should be good.

We just used this tent on a 6 day bike ride in Indiana and were very pleased. Its compact, light, sturdy and we survived an all night rain without a leak. This is the 4th tent we've used on bike rides and its now our favorite. Taking it again today on a 7-day ride. Our biking partners have had the same tent for 3 years and it shows no wear.

Let me start with...I love my 2 person/3+ season tent made by Marmot. Never had a problem with it for over ten years. Having said that, I think the idea behind the design of the tent is great...a near complete mesh tent, great for airflow, visability, but still keeping out the smallest insects. The rainfly is bomber. The roominess is perfect, both interior and under the rainfly's vestibule. The amount of interior storage pockets are hugely numerous...but construction of those pockets are very...very...poor. I have had and used tents for decades and had no problems with damaging them. The first time I used this tent with my family, we ripped two interior storage pockets. Admittingly, I did the first and my 3 year old did the other. Because the pocket seams are sewn into the mesh walls, the slight pressure on the pockets caused the pocket seams to rip and in-essense ripped the interior/exterior wall. I have known Marmot to make bomber...durable tents, but I think this one is the pretty, glass-house that you have got to be leery of.

We have only just set up this tent in the back yard--haven't camped in it yet. We were happy with how easily it set up and pleasantly surprised at the number of pockets in the mesh--no space-constricting loft needed. The mesh fabric is very nice for air-flow and the bright yellow fly lights up the interior nicely.

This was a great tent and was easy to set up. Room enough for two twin air mattresses and then some. The tent is easy to set up and tear down. The fly is great. Would love a second vestibule rather then a simple zip on the second door.

Regarding the woman worried about the screening: I bought a used North Face expedition tent. It is four season, no mesh. The condensation in the tent is very bad when closed up for night At least if the dog shares it with me. I am not going winter camping so I find the mesh to be a must.

Recently purchased and used once but it met or exceeded my hopes for it. Seems well built and I love the "all screen" aspect of it with the fine screening.

My husband and I have done A LOT of camping between the two of us whether it be backpacking in remote wilderness areas or USFS lands or wherever across the US, Canada, South America, Central America, as well as car camping, etc. We agreed this is a nice quality tent with similar features as our Sierra Designs expedition tent. I have never owned a 3-season tent, which is markedly different than a 4-season tent, and I was surprised the tent material is not much more than a screen but my husband said that's pretty typical for a 3-season tent. I am 5'4" and can almost stand up in the tent. We fit the two of us and our two children, ages 3 and 1 years comfortably. We could have put our 2 dogs in the tent with us but they prefer the back of our SUV. We have only used this tent 1x on a car camping trip but so far so good. Our neighbors thought it looked good enough when we put it up in our backyard (which was SUPER easy) they bought one, too. The poles seem quite durable and the fly pretty good, too. Only 10 pounds so you could probably take it backcountry too - just split up the tent and fly between two people. I almost gave it a perfect 5 stars, but didn't because of the 'screen' like tent material - might just be my lack of experience with 3-season tents but I think it could be better. Still a great tent, though.
