Marmot Lander Jacket - Polartec® Fleece (For Women)

I prefer Polartec fleece. This material felt substandard and did not impress me that it wold be as warm and as windproof as Polartec. Also this jacket was at least 1 size smaller than label. I am returning it.

This jacket is typical Marmot high quality. A soft hand and nice styling - EXCEPT for the long underarm zippers. These are not just little air vents. And the zippers are stiff and uncomfortable. Not sure who thought they would be a good idea, but it's not working for me. Sending this one back.

I live in upstate NY. I walk outdoors and like to layer because I don't like bulk or heavy coats. All I need is a base layer this jacket and my Gore-tex jacket and I can walk in any weather conditions. The jacket does tend to run a little short in length, so if you like something that covers down past your waistline this won't. All in all a great product.

This is the second jacket of the same design and style. Spouse loves it and uses one to run in on chilly mornings. She wears the other color for casual wear around town, and honestly it is cut and fits her perfectly-looks stylishly sporty.

This is a very solidly made fleece jacket. The quality is very good, and it's comfortable. It's a simple design, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the jacket length is a little short (I am short, so that's fine, but taller people might wish it were a couple inches longer). It's not super flattering, but it's not unattractive. It will keep you warm and you'll look fine. The underarm zippers (pit zips!) are actually smaller than the ones in Marmot's Precip jacket, but they are handy. They are more comfortable with t-shirts or long-sleeve shirts. If you have sensitive skin on your arms, tank tops might be a little uncomfortable, but I haven't had any problems yet.
