    I live in upstate NY. I walk outdoors and like to layer because I don't like bulk or heavy coats. All I need is a base layer this jacket and my Gore-tex jacket and I can walk in any weather conditions. The jacket does tend to run a little short in length, so if you like something that covers down past your waistline this won't. All in all a great product.

    This jacket is typical Marmot high quality. A soft hand and nice styling - EXCEPT for the long underarm zippers. These are not just little air vents. And the zippers are stiff and uncomfortable. Not sure who thought they would be a good idea, but it's not working for me. Sending this one back.

    I prefer Polartec fleece. This material felt substandard and did not impress me that it wold be as warm and as windproof as Polartec. Also this jacket was at least 1 size smaller than label. I am returning it.

    After ordering this I started wondering about the bad reviews on the pit zipps and if I had made a mistake. Got the jacket yesterday and wore it outside today in the freezing rain while I shoveled snow. I stayed warm and dry!!! The zippers in the armpits didn't phase me. All I had on was a long sleeved t-shirt and I couldn't even feel that they were there. I would like the jacket to be a bit longer for functionality, but style wise it is an appropriate length. So far, I have nothing bad to say. It's warm, cute, soft and in my one day test it has done what I hoped that it would.

    Much more cute than the catalog picture indicates. Perfect weight and soooo comfortable. The pockets close with a zipper and they are nice a soft inside. I own other Marmot items and the durability is exceptional and I'm sure it will be the same for this product as well. I like the jacket so much, I just ordered it in another color.
