Marmot Northshore Jacket - Waterproof PreCip® (For Men)

I was disappointed by both the quality and the size. I wear a size 50 sport coat; this is supposed to fit 50-53 -- but is was far too small

Marmot makes great outdoor wear -- advanced fabrics and superior workmanship. But you cannot easily add additional layers to the Northshore jacket because the fit is trim and athletic. So, if the one layer of fleece insulation that comes with the garment is sufficient for your needs, then this is a great jacket -- well made, light, waterproof, great closure at the neck to resist drafts, etc. But if you want to use this jacket for extreme cold conditions, you will not have enough room to slip in another fleece. If you go to a larger size, that would add extra bulk at times when you do not need it. So, use the jacket as I do -- for weather that is too cold for a light coat, but not so cold as to require a parka.

User-friendly in many weather conditions

If tallish and slender, a size small in this jacket with a cozy zip out fleece liner that works for 3 season wear is one not often available at this great price for women. Wonderful design in a basic black with bright blue accent and sleek fit. Excellent value in a quality product.

It's a nice versatile winter jacket.
