I bought him several jackets, but they were made of nylon and were too much like plastic. This jacket is a nice weight and is not nylon, so it breaths better and washes nicely. The lining could be a little better in terms of breathability and then would have received 5 stars. Overall it is really nice. The medium fit just right.

Reviewed by from on Monday, April 08, 2013It's hard to find a lightweight gore tex jacket, that's packable. This one has no separate liner so is much less bulky. The only drawback I see is no way to secure the hood when it's not being used.

Reviewed by chris from Chicago on Saturday, April 06, 2013Pretty much just what it says. Solid Marmot shell. Have not had it out in the rain yet, but you can tell this shell will be just fine. I am 6ft 185 at the large is roomy enough for two layers underneath. Not sure I would get something smaller if that is what you want and you are my size.

No nylon lining or snow skirts or other extraneous extras, just simple lightweight shell. Really looking forward to getting out in the rain with this. Easily packable and a great buy.
