5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these waterproof pants

I am a size 10 and 5' 9.5" tall. I ordered these Gore-Tex trousers in size L, and they fit perfect, just long enough too. Tested them today over my jeans on a 45 minute dog walk in blustery heavy rain. Arrived home perfectly dry. Very pleased with them.

I do own quite a few Gore-Tex jackets too, so here's a tip. When/if you see that raindrops are no longer beading up on your outerwear and rolling straight off, that's the time to throw the Gore-Tex item in the tumble drier - it completely refreshes the waterproofness. Enjoy!

Returned them because the zipper at the ankles wasn't sufficiently long enough to easily slip a booted foot into the pant leg.

The waist is true to size based on their size charts. I bought a M and a S. Although I thought the M would be good for wearing over bootcut, with a belt, jeans, the thighs are just too wide- probably 4" greater in diameter than the S. If you prefer roomy, these are for you. Oh, and these Marmots are noisier than my other Gore-Tex pants:(
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. rated on fit
Reviewed by Love my gear from portland, Or on Thursday, August 4, 2016
I liked the feel of the fabric and the look of these pants, but the fit was way off for my figure. I tried both the small and medium. The small was a little bit tight, being small in the waist and rise. The medium was way too large in the hips. I'm 5'4" 130 lbs. I usually wear a 4 or 6 in pants. These would be great for a curvy gal but alas, I'm not. I didn't get a chance to try them in action but I've always had good luck with Marmot products. My rating is based on the fit and not performance.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
