Actually just received these pants a few days ago. The quality is the standard Marmot quality, which I why I look for their products. Fabric is very soft and sizing is true to size. Looking forward to wearing them this winter, the brushed flannel lining is very comfortable.

It's always a risk to buy clothes online as you can't feel the texture however rest assured that the flannel lining on these pants is super soft and the external fabric is nice as well. I big improvement over my plasticky snow pants that were just retired. Haven't had a chance to try them in wet weather yet but hopefully they hold up well. Cut is roomy but true to size I feel.

I probably won't bring these pants on my summer travels as they are not as light or quick drying as true travel pants, but these would be useful for travel in cooler weather when I expect to pack heavier clothing. The side pocket just about fits a passport. I am 5"1' and the size 2 brushes the floor without shoes, but is fine with shoes.

soft-next-to-skin gorgeous technical material! beautifully cut with functional details. too bad i will have to send mine back as they're too big for me (not Marmot's sizing problem - i'm usually in between size 6/8, but sometimes some "off size" brands/cuts put me in a size 10 if i want my pants loose-fitting) - i ordered up as STP didn't have my size when i spotted these pants. was hoping they might fit but since they're true to size (for size 10 ladies), will have to send these gorgeous pair of lovely pants back.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
