Yeah, these dont last more than a couple years before they delaminate, yeah they aren't the most breathable things (but they breathe better than a lot of jackets that cost more!). But, if you play your coupon code right you can get 4 of them for the price of a low end goretex jacket (which the precip breathes better than anyway). These are the best rainjackets around. You just have to relace it every couple years.. But who doesnt want a new jacket every once in a while anyway?

I like the way the rain jacket fits. It is not binding. I do wish it didn't feel so clammy. Also if your looking for a warm coat do not buy this one. But it does work like a champ to keep the rain or snow from getting you damp.

No-frills rain jacket with the basic necessities. Zip pockets, pit zips, adjustable cuffs. Packable into its own pocket. Super light-weight and great for summer use. I also bought a pair of the pants and those are equally impressive. Performs as advertised....keeps the rain out but still breathable. I picked up 3 of these at the great deal-flyer price I got. Awesome job STP!

Good Rain Jacket, I got it for a good price by using a Dealflyer couple. My opinion, it is not as good as Northface's rain jacket, so I would not recommand buy them in fulled priced.

Answered on 2/13/2012 12:00:00 AM by Steve from Alabama
    • Answer Excellent pit zips (an essential feature), but no lining. Works great with layering. Both PreCip and are great 3 season rain jackets. I've hiked with layers in 30 degree weather and was very comforable.
Answered on 3/11/2012 12:00:00 AM by Dr. B from Augusta, GA
    • Answer Has pit zips that work in conjunction with the pocket zips to let air flow thru. No mesh lining except at pocket area. If you want to stay dry from condensation/perspiration on the inside, wear something that wicks under this jacket (fleece, polartec, etc). Haven't tried Oracle so can't compare.

  • Question “does this jacket fold up into a compressed pocket size?”
Asked on 10/1/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer Yes the Marmot PreCip® Jacket - Waterproof folds into front pocket to save space in your pack.
Answered on 10/5/2011 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Kevin from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Yes it does. Once compressed into the left outside pocket, the dimensions are approximately 4 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches and can be compressed further if necessary. Look for the two way zipper on left pocket.
Answered on 10/5/2011 12:00:00 AM by cowb0y from North Cascades Mountain Range
    • Answer Yes this jacket is designed to fold up and fit into your front pocket.
Answered on 10/5/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from None
    • Answer Yes it does. It can be folded into its own pocket which has a reverse zip on it to keep it closed as a bag in your pack. The pocket is mesh so you could fold it wet if you had to.
