Great price-per-value! I had to replace my backpacking rain shell (it was actually a running shell) and started looking around. Boy, can these things get expensive! So, as I always do after visiting REI for sticker shock, I went on Sierra Trading Post and looked over what they had. The Marmot seems to work nicely. I don't like how the hood has Velcro on top for the adjustment but that's about it. It's not going to be the lightest rain jacket out there but you can't beat the price!

Seems true to size, and weighs practically nothing. When I first tried on this jacket, it felt like tin foil on my skin. Terrible. But I quickly grew accustomed to it and LOVE it now. Once you experience your first rainstorm in this, you will appreciate the way the lining feels. It's nice, not clammy or sticky. Also love the armpit vents. I personally do not recommend packing it into its own pocket, however. It looks awfully crumpled when you unravel it.

Yeah, these dont last more than a couple years before they delaminate, yeah they aren't the most breathable things (but they breathe better than a lot of jackets that cost more!). But, if you play your coupon code right you can get 4 of them for the price of a low end goretex jacket (which the precip breathes better than anyway). These are the best rainjackets around. You just have to relace it every couple years.. But who doesnt want a new jacket every once in a while anyway?

I like the way the rain jacket fits. It is not binding. I do wish it didn't feel so clammy. Also if your looking for a warm coat do not buy this one. But it does work like a champ to keep the rain or snow from getting you damp.

No-frills rain jacket with the basic necessities. Zip pockets, pit zips, adjustable cuffs. Packable into its own pocket. Super light-weight and great for summer use. I also bought a pair of the pants and those are equally impressive. Performs as advertised....keeps the rain out but still breathable. I picked up 3 of these at the great deal-flyer price I got. Awesome job STP!

Good Rain Jacket, I got it for a good price by using a Dealflyer couple. My opinion, it is not as good as Northface's rain jacket, so I would not recommand buy them in fulled priced.

I bought this for rain protection as I was planning to go to Bonnaroo and needed a jacket, as the festival is on rain or shine. I haven't had a chance to test it yet in wet weather, but as for fit, I'm 5'11" medium build and it fits great. It is super duper light, has zippers under the arms for flow, and will work with a sweater or layers underneath in colder weather. I'm happy with it.

Marmot is my second top brand for weather gear. My first is Outdoor Research. OR is made in America and a very high quality product but the prices can be too high if you can't catch the gear on a deal. The Marmot PreCip jacket is quality made, lightweight, and easy to pack down. I have used it several times around town in down pors and have stayed very dry. The hood cap is elongated and provides very good protection at the face opening. STP shipped it quickly. Great product, great price, great service. IWGBTP!
