Sizing = perfect fit in small. The side pockets have zippers and flaps over. Love the intermittent velcro on the front flap - beats one long strip. Totally dry in a downpour and a 2-hour drizzle. The hood is slightly less than big enough to cover a cycling helmet but 75% is good enough for me. I feel guilty having paid as little as I did for such a great jacket.

This is a well-made and well-designed basic waterproof breathable jacket. It's Marmot's usually quality construction and fits true to size. The price through Sierra Trading Post is terrific!

I love the design of this jacket--i have two of them besides the green ("Grass") one I ordered. Alas the color is not as pictured--but them neither were the other Marmots i ordered (Green Envy, Dark Grass, and Bright Grass)! The "Pistacio" of several years ago ,which i was attempting to replace , is long gone. so "Grass" is the closest i could get to it!

It was too large though I ordered the size I always wear. I had to send it back. I also did not like the silver color inside. Looked like plastic and unpleasant to touch.

I tried so many others, NorthFace, Patagonia, you name it. This brand was the only one that didn't fit like a tarp. I purchased the white stone color, which I think is better for communing with nature. The only thing I'd caution folks about is expecting it to be warm. It's not. Wear a thin layer(s) underneath, and then you'll be comfortable.

Right after I got this jacket it rained very hard. It has kept me totally dry. I normally wear a XL and I bought a XL and it fits perfect. I could probably even wear a thin fleece or heavy sweater under it and be fine.

The Marmot PreCip Jacket is beautiful and well made for the most part. They have left the inner pockets without bottoms, so that you could carry a map, for example. The things that look like pockets just go right through, hold nothing. The other thing is that the jacket is too short, and the pockets too high. A larger size wouldn't do. It would be too big at the shoulders, I think. Therefore, sadly, we will be returning it.

The jacket fits well and I love the zip vents under the sleeves. The hood is good, too. Purchased for Europe trip which hasn't happened yet, but glad to have this jacket. It will pack easily, too. Great product!

Pretty good raincoat, however, no insulation at all, which is what I expected considering its supposed to be around $100 (paid $50 through sierratradingpost!). That was the only disappointing thing. The velcro isn't as strong as I thought it would be. They're tiny little things and i feel like they could fall off any second! I can row in them which is what I bought them for. They do keep me dry, the hood stays on my head while I am moving. Breathable? I'm not that sure, rowing means a lot of sweating, so not as breathable as I'd like, but for just walking and things, its fine.
