Bought this vest for layering under jackets and coats. Works perfectly. For a guy who normally wears a large in fleece pullovers, the medium works well for my slimmer build. It's a simple vest but practical for many occasions.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DF from nj on Tuesday, March 17, 2015It's a well made vest with soft polartec fleece. Blocks wind and serves a good midlayer on moderately cold days.
The red is very bright though, perhaps brighter than it appears in the photo.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by MJ from SLC on Sunday, February 22, 2015For resort skiing I need a highly breathable mid layer that is not too hot and can vent heat easily. This is a great choice since it can keep your core warm but still allow heat to escape, especially through pit zips in my shell jacket. I had previously been using a cheapo Columbia fleece vest and this is night and day better.
