5.0 out of 5 stars. True 3 in 1 utilityVerified Buyer Reviewed by sami of the north from Skagit County, Washington on Thursday, March 16, 2017The zip-out lining can be worn separately. This might be convenient for travel. The usual Marmot quality and a nice gray color. The jacket runs a little shorter than most in this category, but it is stylish.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Functional cut,not so goodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Sunday, March 12, 2017I bought this jacket primarily for the waterproof shell, but also to have another fleece layer in rotation. When assembled fully, this is a warm, comfortable jacket for colder weather. I run warm, but would rate this full setup comfortable down to freezing temps with a regular long-sleeve shirt on underneath.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoor Adventurist from Colorado on Monday, February 27, 2017Lightweight, well-constructed jacket. The shell was lighter than I anticipated, but together with the fleece kept me warm through a day of ice climbing. I would definitely recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars. too small and too lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by greg from minnesota on Thursday, February 23, 2017this looked like the perfect coat for three seasons but it is far to light to be used in the winter anywhere north of Missouri and it is too snug to layer with sweaters to make up for the problem. That said it looks beautiful and well constructed.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Functional cut, softer touch shell than I expectedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Josh from San Francisco on Wednesday, February 8, 2017I bought this jacket primarily for the waterproof shell, but also to have another fleece layer in rotation. When assembled fully, this is a warm, comfortable jacket for colder weather. I run warm, but would rate this full setup comfortable down to freezing temps with a regular long-sleeve shirt on underneath.
The Fleece:
The fleece component of this jacket is no-frills and is somewhat disapopinting due to the lack of features and slightly boring cut. Slightly shorter cut on the waist, fleece internal fabric on the body, and slick nylon fabric in the sleeves. Fleece on the outside. Comfortable but nothing special.
The Shell:
This is the best part of the jacket. The fabric is waterproof and breathable, and lightweight. But it has a much softer touch than other waterproof shells like the Marmot Precip or Patagonia Torrentshell (both of which I also own). This gives it a less-technical feel and appearance and a more work-casual look. This is really nice for someone looking for an inconspicuous technical layer to wear over work clothes or around town.
As another reviewer mentioned, the cut of this coat is a bit longer than the average shell, which to me is important for a rain jacket. It provides great coverage over work clothes but can also function as a ski jacket.
I took away 1 star because the fleece layer is cheap and doesn't match the quality of the shell.
Note: this is not the same as the Ridgetop jacket by Marmot sold elsewhere. This Ridge is a less-technical piece and is likely an STP-exclusive product like many of the items on this site.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great 3-in-1Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Monday, February 6, 2017I got this jacket for a ski weekend and couldn't have been happier. It was warm, layered well, and kept me dry throughout the day. It was a little bit longer and narrower at the waste than I expected, but overall, fits very well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice but XL runs quite smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Big guy in NYC from New York, NY on Thursday, January 19, 2017I had to return the jacket - it was too small. I usually take an XL size, which is what I ordered. When it arrived it was way too tight. Couldn't even zip up the neck at all. STP didn't have any XXL's in stock, so I returned this coat for an XL size Columbia jacket, which fits me perfectly.
