These pants are so comfortable. I wear them over smart wools for hiking and around town. Love the pockets. They look great and have a flattering fit. They are a bit lower waisted and the length is good. I am 5'7" and 135# and got a medium which are good for layering. I would definitely buy ag... Read More

I use these pants everyday for work, lots of pockets, tighner on the bottom when there snow to keep the snow out and lots of stretch for whatever one wants to do,

My only comment is I was expecting a soft shell pant: thicker and warmer. It is actually a very lightweight material. So not what I was trying to buy. However, when I tried them on , I had to keep them, they are so good

These pants have a very odd fit on me. I'm only 5'3" tall, and the pants end above my ankle bones. The waist is very small! I ordinarily wear a 4 in pants and ordered a 6. I don't think even an 8 would do it. And as they get bigger, I assume the waistband would ride higher and higher. As it is, it fits above my comfort zone, which I admit is on the low side. I think I'm spoiled by the below the belly button fit of all my jeans. The hips are also narrow. Just a very odd fit. Not sure who will find they fit.
    • Best Uses: Cool weather camping, Cool weather hiking
    • Cons: Runs very small, Too Short, Waistband Sits High
    • Pros: Nice light fabric

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
