This jacket, over a down sweater, kept me going while hiking back trails in Galena, IL with high winds and freezing temperatures. I'd recommend it for any winter activities.

I bought this coat as a replacement to my 8 year old Marmot GoreTex jacket. I snowboard at least 30 days per season in all conditions and demand a lot from my jackets. This one is perfect.

This is a great jacket for playing in the snow and in the rain. I use it primarily when I ride my bike in the cold, wet weather. It fits snugly and its fleece-lines collar and hard shell keeps me warm even in wet, windy winter conditions. Its also breathable enough that when I arrive at my destination, I'm not soaked from the inside out.

pros and cons to this jacket. on the upside, the goretex material is waterproof and breathable, so layering beneath the jacket will allow body heat regulation. downers are thin flimsy material which makes me wonder about durability, and it does seem to run a bit small (buy a size up .. it's a shell, so you need room for a fleece underneath) i am 5'4 and 150 pds. the medium was small .... the large seems good. i'll keep

I love Marmot jackets, and a medium usually fits me perfectly. This jacket runs small, and was too short in the torso and sleeves. It was also a little tight. The quality was just as good as any other Marmot I have had, but I would recommend ordering one size up.

Love this jacket. Wear with jeans or snow clothes. Got a pretty blue. Technically warm and love all the pockets.

I ordered this in two colors and decided to keep the bluejay. It is really nice and very well made. Have not yet tried in a downpour or outside, just got. However, with a fleece or sweater underneath, have plenty of room to function. Only drawback is the bottom/hips may be tight on someone - just fits me (35/36 hips).

Comfortable and sized appropriately. Worked wonders in a London downpour.
