Excellent jacket that I love. I had to go with a large since Marmot's Sharp Point medium is too short and snug. This makes the large seem big for me, but not too bad. All-in-all a great coat, warm, repels water, and one heck of a price.

This jacket is just what I was looking for as a relatively light weight soft shell for skiing and hiking. It is comfortable, flexible and light weight (for what it is designed to do). I am a big fan of Marmot products, including this one.

I use the marmont sharp point soft shell jacket on backcountry ski trips, resort skiing, and I think early spring and late fall mountain biking (season hasnt got that far yet). I have a marmont superhero soft shell that I have used for years. I'm unsure which catagory the Superhero Jacket fits into but the sharp point is an M1, which seems much warmer and a little bit more bulky than the superhero jacket.

Great for casual wear and serious outdoor use. The shell is fairly tough and does a great job of keeping the wind at bay. For cold weather, a good base layer is a must, but this jacket plays well with others. The stand up collar is comfortable and works well. The pit-zips are hardly noticeable when open, unlike so many other jackets. A lot of versatile jacket for the money.

Very flexible soft shell I have a wider back and have trouble with flexibility of other shells but this one is flexible enough to do any activity that uses full motion of the arms.

Very nice Windstopper softshell that is warm and has some technical features (like pit zips) for a good price. Good looking colors, including the Bonfire/Terra which looks great in person. I had a couple of quibbles that caused me to return it: 1) Odd sizing: Unlike other reviewers, I did not think this jacket ran large, but instead found that the sleeves were disproportionately short in comparison to the length and girth of the torso (the photo kind of suggests this). 2) No external chest pocket: A minor issue, but one I prefer.

I walk about a mile to work every day. It works very well keeping the wind off. It sheds light rain, as well. Pit zips help in cooling off. The stretch is great for comfort. The fit is slim, but there was enough space for a lightweight thermal undershirt. There are two exterior side pockets, and one interior left breast pocket. The collar is a bit shorter than I'd like. And the insulation is a little lighter than I would like. However, the windproofness helps keep the warmth in. Breathability is great: I never felt sweaty. This jacket does well down to about 45deg. F, I would say. 50deg if you chill easily. And nothing too wet, because it's just a short jacket without a hood, after all.
