This seems to me (after 2 uses on the ski slopes) to be a very good jacket and a good value at STP prices. The sizing is just a bit on the large side - not long but wide. The waterproof fabric is not nearly as supple as a typical nylon jacket - it feels a bit stiff, at least while new. I like the fact that you can zip the fleece liner either to itself or to the shell. So far, so good.

I purchased this jacket at the end of the winter and have not really been able to test it in harsh weather. The jacket appears well made. The fit is comfortable and true to size. I purchased a large and it is roomy enough to wear a sweater or some layers underneath. The outer shell is water resistant and the inner fleece is a good weight. I would have preferred a different sleeve closure, hence the 4 star rating. I think it will be a perfect jacket for all but the coldest days of a damp northeastern winter.

Cannot be happier with my purchase of the Marmot winter jacket and the great service and support from Sierra Trading Post. From talking with one their friendly and helpful sales assistants about which size might fit the best, to the great price of the jacket and delivery, it was really one of the best on-line purchase's I have made.
The sizing experience, I am 6'1" about 224 lbs. 17.5 inch neck, 35-36 sleeve, a 40 inch waist with a 46 inch chest. I seem to waiver between XL and XXL and at age 62 I don't need tight fitting winter jackets. The sales assistant helped me make the choice to go with the XL and the jacket fits perfect. The other point she made was with a 3-in-1 jacket you don't want the outer shell fitting like a London Fog over coat.

The price I paid was far less than anyone else and it was shipped the same day. Got it in time for a week-end trip up to Pierport Michigan and the wind was coming off Lake Michigan at 35 knots with 15 degree temperatures, wind chill -5 degrees, no problem I never got cold.

This is the first time I have purchased a Marmot jacket. I am very impressed with the fit and quality of this jacket. The quality is impressive for the price of this jacket - it is comparable to jackets costing twice the price. It fits very well and is a roomy jacket. Most importantly it is very warm! I selected the jacket in black and it looks great! You can't go wrong with this jacket - it is one of the very best I have owned.

I just received this jacket in the mail today. It is excellent. The fleece sits perfectly in the jacket. The fit is great, slightly more roomy and comfortable than the Marmot Precip jacket, which I also own. This is a great purchase.
