I bought this for my wife who is a teacher at a school where 30 of the classrooms are outside the main building in "portables" (single-wide mobile home style units - without bathrooms)! Thus she has to take her class back and forth into the building at least 3 times a day. This jacket was perfect as it is light enough to wear year around and spacious enough for her to layer under it during the winter months.

I bought this to have on hand easily if a shower or cold breeze comes up on my early morning walk of about 1-2 hours. Perfect for that. I will need to wear something warm underneath it if the weather is really cold - it is a shell.

Girlfriend wore this Skyline and I wore Marmot Aegis, the equivalent for men in very bad weather at Breast Cancer Walk on the Jones Beach, NY boardwalk. High Winds and deluge rain, yet we were dry and able to cinch down hoods to see even in driving rain. Very comfortable, breathable, and wind/water proof. Highly recommend.
