4.0 out of 5 stars. High quality GoreTex shellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Cape Cod on Thursday, February 11, 2016This is a superb quality GoreTex technical shell. The details are great - storm hood, pit zips, chest pocket, taped seams, etc. I do wish it were an inch or two longer, however. Fit was good, not great - a little snug for a size large but I have a 36DDD chest. Consider sizing up if you plan to wear it as a technical shell with bulkier layers underneath.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Looks nice. Seems noisy.Verified Buyer Reviewed by libraryfan from Portland, OR on Sunday, December 20, 2015This is going to be a gift, so I can't speak to it's wearability. But my first impression was that it seems rather stiff and crinkly/noisy. I hope it is more comfortable to wear than it seems out of the package. We'll see.

4.0 out of 5 stars. A good investmentReviewed by Stutix from Virginia on Wednesday, March 11, 2015I bought this jacket for mountaineering in the Himalayas after comparing various brands and other jackets across the Marmot range of Shell Jackets. My only complaint is the stiffness around the zip ends. Even though its shaped very well for a female silhouette, the patches on the ends of the pit zips makes it look bulky around the waist line. Over all, STP prices are incomparable for this gore tex shell jacket. Its super light and minimalist in design, yet stands out when it comes to utility. I bought the orange color and it looks awesome and obviously stands out in snow and rugged surroundings, something I feel is very important for a trekker or mountaineer. Its definitely breathable with the highest rating gore tex has to offer and I can say that as I wore it from 20F-75F and was very comfortable in all temperatures. Definitely a good investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars. AmazingVerified Buyer Reviewed by NSACCO from MA on Wednesday, March 11, 2015Bought this because I was sick of having "waterproof" jackets that didn't keep me dry. This was the best decision ever! Jacket is sleek and fashionable as well as 100% functional and best part, as far as I've experienced, 100% waterproof!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very good shell jacket with feminine cutVerified Buyer Reviewed by Schibolaus from Washington DC on Friday, February 6, 2015Got this jacket as a gift for my girlfried, she is 5'5" and I got a size M. It was still possible to wear a lighter down jacket for insulation.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love my speed light!Verified Buyer Reviewed by kellylarkin from Grand Lake, CO on Thursday, October 2, 2014I was in need of a hard shell jacket. I found this on STP, did done research and decided on this Marmot jacket. It is unbelievably light, somewhat fitted with room to layer underneath! And I love my bright blue color. Here is to being prepared for the winter! I am 5'7" and got a medium. I probably could have gotten a small though.
