Most other reviews that I've read have been good, so when I saw the Stockholm on sale, I decided to make a go of it. Truth be told, I could not be happier. Comfy, light, practical and with an added bit of flash, I'd recommend this jacket to anyone.

I bought an XL and returned it for a XXL and am happy. The XL was too small for anything but a light shirt and in winter I want to wear at least a light sweater. Sleeves are marginally long, but OK. Both sizes long enough in back so your kidneys are not exposed, as is the case with some brands winter jackets. Very well made, as are most Marmot products. Too warm for XC. Not warm enough for winter camping. Ideal for winter hiking or similar. Fine for winter around town use.

Reviewed by akgypsy from Fairbanks Alaska on Thursday, March 10, 2011I needed a warm windproof jacket to wear as an outer layer in 40 to 50 below zero. I walk around and through villages in Alaska and don't often get the opportunity to stop in a warm place for a break. This jacket is great! I got the XL so I can put layers on underneath, but, I can still wear it alone and it is very warm. Only two problems have I encountered. 1 - the hood zipper kept unzipping. I put a safety pin over the zipper to hold it in place and now no problem. 2 - the left wrist had all the down bunched in one place and I had a cold spot, but, I took the time to work the down around and now no problem. I would gladly deal with these little issues for such a great jacket. This is easily the best jacket I've ever owned. Thanks Sierra Trading for making it available.

On the really cold days, I layer with a waterproof jacket over it and it is unstoppable warmth. Be prepared for the jacket to be much glossier than it looks in the picture. I think the sheen dulls after a while. My only worry is that the shell material will tear. It is light and compressible, but does not seem to be very durable, so keep away from sharp objects.
