This jacket offers great rain protection in warm climates. A lightweight sweater fits comfortably underneath. The body is nicely styled at the waist.

I love this jacket. It fits beautifully--the hood is especially adaptable so I get a snug, windproof, waterproof fit. Layering makes it good for any temperature--fleece, woolies, down vest underneath it and I'm totally weather- and temperature-proof. Beautifully made. Great price. Great company to support.

I've long been a fan of Marmot outerwear. Marmot stuff is generally well-made, stylish and comfortable. I bought this jacket for my wife. At the same time my wife's sister got the Marmot Minimalist gore-tex jacket. My wife loves this jacket. It's lined with a satiny material that is very comfortable. The hood is a full-time hood (not detachable and not stashable) - my wife wanted a full-time hood. It has lined hand-warming pockets and good storage pockets. It has good ventilation with the pit zips. And it's quiet (unlike many other waterproof breathable jackets). My wife's sister returned her Minimalist - which costs twice as much by the way - because it was uncomfortable (no lining), loud and generally had a crunchy feel to it. I was concerned that the Marmot MemBrain wouldn't perform as well as gore-tex in terms of breathability and waterproofness. But we've had a pretty rainy spring here and so far the wife is dry and happy. We'll see if it holds up over time with washing and such, but if it's like other Marmot jackets I've owned, it will be a great jacket for a long time.

I love, love, love this jacket. The red color is amazing and brings cheer on gloomy, rainy days. The jacket runs a little on the larger size with longer arms (which I have so I love it) and room for layering. I bought a L -- and I'm standard size 12. If you are a low 12 or high 10 then go for M. We are experiencing a long period of wet weather here in the Pacific Northwest, so I took it out of the box and didn't take it off for almost 2 weeks. It kept me dry and warm. The lining is soft enough that you don't feel like you're wearing waterproof clothing. It is tapered enough so you don't feel unshapely. Overall, this was an excellent purchase.
