Great coat! Waterproof with great zipper covers. Fits me great through the arms but I am 5'2" so finding coats with short enough arms is normally a struggle.

If you want affordable, stylish protection from the rain, this is an excellent option. Purchased it for my wife, who is 5' tall. The XS fits her perfectly. Good color options, well made, nice materials. Hard to think of any downsides with this jacket at this price.

This is a shorter jacket than the precip but great quality as always from Marmot. True to size, ordered an xs.

I initially was debating between this and the precip, but I'm happy I got this. I mostly wear small/sometimes medium in women's clothing, and the medium size here fits great! There's just enough room to layer and not bulky at all. I haven't tried it in the rain yet, but it kept me warm on a gloomy, windy day out on a boat. It's also very light weight. Look forward to taking it with me on all my travels!

Better than it looked in the catalog. My daughter thought this coat was stylish and good function.

This is exactly what I wanted: it is waterproof and breatheable. It has a generous adjustable hood, zip pockets and hidden zipper closure (front). The seams are sealed. The sizing runs small: I usually wear a medium to large and I ordered XL. It fits perfectly! Perfect for walking my dog on a rainy day!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
