Reviewed by Berarin from Kyoto, Japan on Sunday, October 21, 2012I wanted a waterproof jackettt, to walk my daughter to school on rainy days. I didn't realize that the jacked has a thin fleece lining, which explains the higher price of the jacket. That means tat the jacket is good for fall and winter, but not for summer (too hot) which was a bit disappointing for me, since I wanted an all year jacket. I should warn also that the jacket runs small, especially if you want to se it as a layering type jacket. I am 5'5" around 180 lbs and I usually wear an M or L comfortably and I ordered an XL in this jacket. It fits good and I'm glad I didn't order the L because it may have been too tight. However, even with the XL I probably will not be able to wear a thick fleece under it, which means i might not be able to wear it in mid-winter - a thin fleece or thin sweater would work, but maybe the fleece lining will keep me warm enough? Not sure, as I have not tested it out in severe weather yet. Pros include the nice wide cut under the arms, which gives great movement and good pockets
- Best Uses: Around town, Hiking
- Cons: Runs Small
- Pros: Godd Material, Good Quality
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rain walker from Upstate N Y on Monday, September 10, 2012I have owned a Marmot rain jacket for 8 years. The first year, my place of
Employment had a fire, we had to work outdoors till late fall. The best rain
Jacket. I felt I needed a new jacket. It still keeps the rain out, but gets soggy
Feeling. I can wear this over my down sweater for a winter combo. Looking forward
To a great winter.
- Pros: Liner A Surprise
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Back packing B from Northern, NY on Monday, March 26, 2012This is a perfect lite jacket for those cloudy days that call for rain or drizzle. It's packable and lite to carry so if you never use it that day you're not fighting it's weight. Beautiful colors as well. A very sharp feminine jacket.
- Best Uses: Perfect for lite rain
- Pros: Excellent fit
