The biggest concern is the sizing as she is usually "between sizes ("5'6", 115lbs) where small can fit okay but will have it's shortcomings and medium will seem too big. The small ordered is perfect for her. Arms are still lengthy when arms outstretched and it doesn't ride too high when stretched upward. There is room for a base layer and a mid-layer iff needed but with the zip out liner zipped in, there shouldn't need a mid-layer except on the very coldest of days. On the warmer days you simply take out the liner and unzip the pit zips, and you are ready for spring skiing! The liner is a light jacket itself for a cool spring or fall day.
Build quality seems to be in top order but real world durability will not come for several months when we finally get to test it on the slopes. Color is pretty accurate to the display pictures and it has just the right pockets in the right places!
