    Like other Marmot products, this runs small. I would say the 8-10 medium is more like a 6-8. And the collar is ridiculously large! You could pull the whole thing up over your ears except that at the back of the neck it's normal-size, so you just end up having warms ears and a cold neck. When it's laying flat, the tips of the collar reach your shoulders - just way out of proportion to the rest of this slim-cut jacket.

    I go for extended hikes so weight is v.important to me. I will also be living and sleeping in this so softness and fabric feel are very important too. it lost some stars because even though the collar zips upto the top, it is a very loose fit, which means my neck won't be protected from cold.

    I love this jacket, and it's so cute that two of my friends went out and ordered it the day after they saw me wearing it! It's extremely warm, too. The collar is cozy and stylish when zipped at least, but it doesn't lie as well when the jacket is unzipped. It's a minor issue, though - overall, I'm really happy with this jacket.

    I LOVE this jacket. It blocks the wind so well you kind of forget how cold it is (until you take off the jacket, that is). The furry collar zips up all the way past your nose and covers most of your ears and feels great. It's great for hiking trips or just wearing around town. Would be nice if it had pit zips and interior pockets.
