Reviewed by smokykoko from Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday, April 30, 2013Heed the other reviews on size. I normally wear XL or 36-38 waist. The XL I ordered were tight like ski type tights. The tightness was not uncomfortable but looked tight. If that is what you want OK but I returned them for XXL. I am 6'4" tall and ordered the Longs and they are longer than most. OK for me but someone 6"2" or shorter might be too long. Clothing is so difficult to figure out. I also have the Marmot Scree pants and XL waist with them is 3 inches too big but the rest of the pant fits. Go figure.

Only complaint is the length. I am of average height and the regulars have what seems to be a 34” inseam. They are “baggy” around the ankles. Given how they perform, I would still buy these pants again, although I’d try and find some with Short length

He defnitely needed more room in the hip/seat area. The fit is perfect. The pants are stretchy and will be used for hiking and cross-country skiing (worn with tights underneath).

The waist was good, the length was good but the butt section was way too tight and would have been uncomfortable to hike in. I ordered the XL for him and they fit perfectly. So if you have a butt, order one size larger. You will be thankful you did.
