Hoped for it to be water proof, but it is water resistant and when I went back to the review I realized I had read it wrong. Still a great jacket and he loves it. Will be perfect as long as it doesn't pour rain. Also, green is a really cool avocado color.

Will use under a Goretex jacket when raining and chilly. Bought a heavier Marmot softshell for winter months so this will complete the year outdoor activity wardrobe. Went with large (6' 190#), fits great. If you want to wear layers under, go with XL

Answer The biggest difference is the Marmot Tempo Jacket has Reflective trim for low-light conditions and weights more then the Aber. I hope this helps
