I have only hiked so far in it. The weather on my hike was about 15 degrees and I stayed very warm in this jacket. I also stayed dry sliding down sections in the snow. The hood provided a nice additional layer of warmth over my hat. Very happy with this purchase and have received multiple compliments on it's look as well.
