To be honest, i wasn't expecting this jacket to be this light and warm!
The exterior too feels very soft, so much so that I felt it may tear at anytime, which of course is not the case.
If you're looking for a warm, comfortable and light jacket, look no further.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, it rains a bit. I use the jacket to run to the gym, go sailing, standup paddle, and as a spare in my truck and pack when going to the mountain. It fits well is lightweight and can breathe. It keeps the wet off me, what more can I say. I like it.

I live in the pacific Northwest where it rains for months at a time, from fall to spring. The only way to keep running outdoors is with good waterproof, breathable gear. This jacket fits the bill with good fit and looks and some niceties thrown in, like the patches of soft fabric on the outside of the sleeve for wiping your eyes or nose or whatever needs it. Great jacket and a great deal!
    • Best Uses: Active sports, Running
    • Pros: Rainproof, Trim fit, Very breathable

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
