Marmot Venus Down Jacket - 800 Fill Power (For Women)

I expected more loft from a Marmot down jacket. This jacket was fine for everyday wear, but I returned it.

Love this jacket it is warm without the bulk size fits true to size I am 5'2 110 and the XS is perfect!

Great for layering. Very good looking but not heavy. Just what I wanted. A down sweater. Beautiful color turquoise. GOt many compliments.

I bought this jacket as my "run around" winter wear. It's warm but not heavy or bulky - perfect for going out at night or running errands. I don't plan on using it much for winter adventuring only because of if down gets wet - forget about keeping warm. But it would definately do well as part of a layered system with a waterproof shell for general outdoor fun. And there's something slightly sexy about the shape - very feminine for a down jacket. I got the white which has a blue lining and blue stitching. I like blue, and I wear it mostly with jeans, so it suits my needs perfectly....and it looks really good.

I love the stitching design and the color. Surprisingly very warm for being so lightweight/thin, not the typical 'puffy' down jacket. Sleeve cuffs are elastic which I thought was a little strange, yet when wearing gloves the added stretch is nice to get the gloves into the sleeves.

I was looking for a 'down sweater'. Took a chance the xs might fit and it does - perfect. (I have been wearing smalls lately) Not pulling across the chest - but if you are small with big breast, it might not be so. I have long arms, so the sleeves are a little short. I wish the overall length was longer. A small vest is longer than this. But I wanted a warm, lightweight-packable, layerable down - the price was right. Especially for 800 down fill!

The coat is true to description- very lightweight and warm. It can easily be packed away in a small place for storage or traveling.

I was looking for a lightweight down jacket that I could stuff in my pack on my winter hikes. This jacket fits the bill nicely. I ordered an XL ( I think that may have been all that was available at the time in the color I chose) and it certainly has loads of room for multiple layers under it. Even though it is an XL, the sleeves did seem to be a bit longer that I would expect. I think a size L would have allowed ample layering room and have been a better fit, but for the price I'll hang on to this one!

I have been looking for a light weight warm jacket that packs easily into a tote/backpack. Also wanted a jacket to wear under my rain slicker and an older Marmot ski shell. This works perfectly. I also liked [...] the discounted price!
