This Marmot vest is a real winner! Its construction is bombproof and very well thought out. The stand up collar protects you when the wind is up but doesn't restrict movement or feel confining. Marmot has included lots of features that set this vest apart from most others: it has a very soft hand and drapes wonderfully (in other words, it makes you look good); the large YKK ladder zipper is backed by a fleece liner which eliminates cold spots and adds to your comfort; the armholes use a version of the angel cut and so fit snugly (not tightly) without interfering with arm movement or having the vest ride up; the handwarmer pockets are designed so you can tightening the drawstring easily; the zippers on the pockets open from the top down so what you put in the pockets stay in the pockets. The vest dries quickly, you can wring it out and put it on and it will keep you warm. This vest is sharp enough to wear around town and sturdy enough to use when bouldering, handling goats, backpacking, and, under a shell, in all but the coldest weather. It does not hold oders or pile. I was so impressed, I ordered a second one! This Marmot fleece out performs any other I have owned -- it really wowed me!

This is a great vest. It is not bulky and is comfortable and warm as a mid layer. It has nylon inside the front of the vest - a nice touch.

I am a volunteer national park ranger. I am in and out of doors all day long. This vest will keep me warm without the bulk of a coat. It also compliments my uniform

Warm, well put together fleece vest. Not too tight fitting on me (5'-9" 155lb), it allows for layering underneath. I Like the bottom hem cord/length which allows adjustment for venting or heat retention. Bottom and arm openings have abrasion resistant lining.

Comfortable soft feel around the house when I'm feeling chilly. Would work well under a jacket. It has a storm flap behind the zipper - I would prefer not to have it since it is unsymetrical when the vest is open. And who needs a storm flap on a vest? If the breeze is strong enough to need blocking, you'll be wearing a jacket. But overall, a very nice piece of clothing. Soft, comfortable, warming but not overheating, large fits me perfectly (6'2", 185 lbs.)

Feels warm for casual use
