I have 12 down and or fleece jackets. I wear this very light and warm jacket about 50% of the time in all seasons except summer. It's a perfect combination of epithet weight, warmth and convenience with a few nice touches that pit it over the top: a soft inner collar of Dryclimb, big zippered exterior pockets lined with a soft material and which are perfect for both holding stuff and hand warming, a nice big inner zipped pocket and an easily cinched wind block at waist level to keep drafts out. All of Marmot's materials are top notch and the build quality is superb (and I have 3 of these jackets). They stuff down to nothing and are a perfect partner to a good hard shell in a layering system. The only thing is they tend to run a bit small in the chest and I take a 2XL where I usually am perfect in an XL. Highly recommended.
