I bought these for an upcoming trip to Iceland and Scotland, where the weather warrants a light weight wind break/water protection. After that trip I plan to keep them in my golf bag for sudden weather changes. They were easy to put on over my shoes. I wish the pockets were the kind that allows you to get into the pants pockets underneath, especially for golf. The light weight of these pant will help with packing for a summer in cooler climates.

My husband has had one for many years. It's light enough to toss in a daypack or suitcase. Nice slash pockets and pit zips. Marmot quality should last for years. I'm 5' 3" and 125 pounds. The small fits over a light, pile jacket and thermal shirt. Looking forward to wearing it outdoors.

My old Red Ledge jacket finally failed after more than 20 years, and I needed an inexpensive replacement. Sadly, they no longer have pit zips, so I tried this instead. It's beautiful, but it runs small, so I can't wear a heavy shirt under it. As Murphy's Law would have it, it has not rained since the jacket arrived, so I can't speak to its waterproofness. But it folds into the packet and has the pit zips.

A great pant for a Summer hike. The fabric is on the thin and stiff side, but feels good on a hot day when you need coverage. The fit at the waist is a little high and loose, but I think that might just be contrary to my preference. Overall, I would recommend these.

I was pleasantly surprised to find many pockets hidden all over the pack. I like keeping things organized, so this was a plus. I also like how the pack allows the user to cinch down the waist buckle from both side straps for a truly customizable fit. The torso size is also adjustable but it may not be long enough for some taller folk. I have the torso length max'd out and I'm only 5'11. I like the waist straps to be on my lower waist/hips though, so it may work for some taller folk if you don't mind it being on your upper waist area just below the navel (belly button). Overall pretty nice. It expands large enough with the extra collar for minimalists for long trips. It's perfect for me on 2-3 day trips. It could also fit as a carry on luggage on planes. So it's pretty versatile.

I bought this as a sporty cool weather jacket for casual wear and occasional outdoor adventures. Mine is two shades of gray with neon yellow zips and it looks really sharp. Looks very well made and feels warm but I haven't been able to put that to the test yet here in FL. The removable hood adds flexibility for varying weather, and my favorite feature is the pit zips - they really add a huge amount of cooling where needed when you start working hard, and I wish more jackets had them. I'm a size large (5' 10 1/2", 190 lbs, 44" chest, 34" waist) and the jacket fits me well in street clothes, and should be ok with a mid-layer if ever needed. Worth a lot more than I paid through Sierra Trading Post - great jacket at a great price.

I ordered this jacket to replace my second waterproof/windproof shell from a major retailer (each jacket only lasted about 5 years before the waterproofing gave out). I hear that nothing beats Gore-Tex for durability and performance, and this jacket offered a reasonable set of features for a reasonable price. It's comfortable and true to size (I'm 5'7", 155 lbs, and the medium fits just right). I haven't had a chance to wear it in heavy rain, but it appears to be well sealed, so I expect it to perform well.

I love the weightlessness of this jacket. Do wish it had pockets, but, overall, great workout jacket to cut the wind.
