commute in rain revealed wet spots along zipper line in front, arm pits, and wrist area. inner liner sleeve hold down ripped, very flimsy. replaced inner liner with my own. First Gear uses snaps for sleeve hold downs and is much better.

This is the second Adventure jacket I've owned. I bought the original version and wore it daily for years. The new model is even better, especially in terms of being highly visible to motorists. There is reflective material sewn throughout the jacket. I commute daily in Seattle and have found the jacket to be completely waterproof, much better than the First Gear pants I wear with it. There are lots of nice touches, as well, like good ventilation slits in the back and bicep area, a great pocket for your sunglasses that's accessible without unzipping the front. The silver color makes it much easier to regulate the temperature when it's sunny.

Nice looking and fuctional for long day trips and long hauls as well BUT....where is the armour??? Too bad
