I have other shoes by maker which fit fine. Disappointing.

I bought these shoes in two sizes (8.5 and 9) for my 21 year "stylish" son, who wanted some loafers to wear with khakis and jeans. He liked the size 8.5 for him, but the first pair of 8.5's I ordered was marked "Sample", and was made of a thinner leather than the pair of size 9 shoes which had no "Sample" markings. I re-ordered another size 8.5, explaining the problem to the Customer Service representative who made sure that the next pair I received were not also marked "Sample".[...]My husband saw the shoes, tried on the size 9's, and really liked them also. He was away on business shortly after receiving them, and used them for extended periods of walking. He found them very comfortable, even on the first wearing.

I bought these shoes based upon my experience with similar shoes from the same manufacturer. I wore them for the first time yesterday. They were simply not comfortable across the front of my foot. It is possible they will improve with time. I put "shoe trees" in them for a week before I wore them but it made no difference.

LOVE THEM. CLASSIC AND COMFORTABLE!

First penney loafer I dont walk out of. Heel fits well-just a bit tight in toe box-should either be a bit longer or wider in that area. Very well made-classic looks-will probably break in.

Comfortable classic

I will be interested to see how long these shoes wear. There is something about them that does not feel like an Allen Edmonds shoe that will last a long time.

The shoe is extra narrow. I tried one whole size up, which usually works for me. No joy.
