My husband's original pair of these pants were a Christmas present from a friend who can afford to shop at Barney's. We can't, so when he needed new ones, I found them here for much, much cheaper. Same great pant. Different awesome price.

I own several pair of Mason's pants and they are all great with regard to quality and construction. One other reviewer has mistakenly referred to the EM line as being a "step down in quality". I disagree. The EM line is made in both Italy and Peru - I own both types. The price at Sierra was ridiculously inexpensive. I got the Ocean color; while this appeared to be a laggard in sales, it works for me and is a versatile 2-3 season color.

I'm a big fan of Mason's but thier EM line is a step down in quality; and these were not listed as EM by STP. I had just returned a pair of EM shorts for being oddly cut/too small, and ordered these, unaware that they were EM line. Turns out they are OK, but were longer than the stated 34" length and had to be altered. Not made in Italy either.

I'm not diabetic, but I do wear orthotics and I appreciate supportive socks. These have good elastic in the foot, but are very stretchy in the shaft. This is probabaly designed for diabetic needs, but they feel odd on me. STP's Goodhue socks are much better at overall support.

Good quality and tailoring with some interesting but odd touches such as the drawstring inside. Unfortunately the fit through the seat is far too tight for my tastes - if you want more of a "euro" or jeans style fit might be fine.
    • Cons: Poor Fit
    • Pros: High Quality
    • Waist: Feels too small
