I loved it so much I just had to have another one in the navy/pink color as well - and I *never* buy two different colors of the same item for myself. The material is a brushed cotton, but an especially soft one. It's essentially flannel, but not a thick, heavy, cold-weather-only flannel. It has a dense weave, and thus should be durable in addition to being soft, but it is not thick at all. This material should be good for everything except summers, but that's because I live in Texas; in places with more mild summers, it should still be fine. The cut is great too, although it is smaller than what most people will be used to these days. It's definitely a "classic"/European cut. Meaning if you're used to more modern brands, size up. I'm 5'6", 170 pounds, and the medium is just right for me - slightly tight in the chest, but my chest is rather broad compared to the rest of me. From the moment I tried on this shirt, Mason's Cotton became one of my favorite brands. And a HUGE plus - made in Italy!!!

Reviewed by OCULUS from Rensselaer, NY on Thursday, November 01, 2012I've had many Mason's products over the years and this latest iteration (not made in Italy) featuring the red-block on white "California" label is Euro sized, which translates, unless you are 20 and skinny, "move up a size". Otherwise very high-grade materials and tailoring.

But all of them are well made and eye-catching. This shirt is in the middle - a Large but just a tad snug. I'm just under 5 feet ten inches and weigh about 180. If you don't a Mason's shirt or pants, you won't regret buying one, especially at the price offered at STP.

Reviewed by JCG from SE MN on Monday, July 23, 2012As another buyer stated, I found these pants to be very tight in the seat, mostly due to a very short rise lenght. I sent them back to exchange them for the next size up, but for some reason I was informed that the size I purchased and sent back was no longer available, checked my return paperwork and I had indicated exchange for the next larger size, Oh well, STP messed up, I just decided to skip it. Otherwise they look like nice pants.

I have several other pants and shorts from Masons, some of which are several years old and they're very sturdy and stylish -- these pants are just the same. Mason's makes a very good product.
