MBT Hiking Boots (For Men and Women)

I bought the women version of these boots, and I am quite impressed how they handle in the snow. I haven't slipped onvce with these, usually I have to wear cleats on my regular boots, maybe because the boot shifts your center of gravity where it should be, that they do so well in snow and wet conditions. There was even a little ice under the snow the other day and I never lost traction. I love MBT shoes I have a pair of sneakers, which do well in the rain too.

I am using this product to walk again after being incapacitated from plantar fashiitis and then stress fractures to my heels. The MBTs allow me to relieve stress to the heels. And because they're MBTs, they force me to stand up straight and use those calves, thighs and gluts. I was a little sore the next day but its a good soreness. At the end of the day my left foot rubs at the ankle and the top of the left foot. But I don't think its the shoe's fault, it's just that my feet swell. So I take them off when the rubbing is too irritating. All in all they are a great shoe. I just wish Sierra Trading Post had more sizes. Actually these were the last hiking boot MBTs on the site. So I felt lucky to get them. Thank you Sierra Trading Post.

Size is true for wide feet.

Due too health problems I only wear Mbt I have 2 pairs of the sneakers the sandal and now the hiking boot. I work in a bakery and stand on my feet put away heavy loads and if it were not for these shoes theres no way I could do all that I do. My Dr. now prescribes them to a lot of his patients after my success. They are expensive they are heavy and take a little while to get use to. but once you do they'll be the first thing you put on in the morning and the last thing you take off at night. I'd rather wear these than go to therapy 3 times a week.

These shoes provide the support I need for a foot that had been badly broken. I wear them to work in retail, and they also help with knee problems. The cushioning and support is great!

Honestly, I owe a lot to MBT and their line of products. I love to hike but if it weren't for this company, I would not be able to. I have lots of problems with my feet, lots of pain, and if I wear other boots, my feet hurt within minutes. This isn't good if you want to go for a moderate hike of 10 miles! But when I wear these hiking boots, I have NO pain! Anyone with feet problems should look into their products. Really comfortable boots!

These are plenty big, no need to order more than a half size up, if that, and probably only if wearing very heavy socks or have a waaay wide foot. I am really a 7 1/2 C, so frequently go all the way to 8 1/2, in say Keen trail shoes. Ordered these in an 8 and they are perfect fit with moderate to thick socks. Perhaps they have a roomier foot bed since also sized for men. Wonder if the "women's only" model shares this characteristic? Had been scoping these shoes out for 2 years but couldn't manage the retail price. With Sierra pricing, plus extra discount, they were just within reach and boy am I glad I sprung for these. MBT's are the most comfortable, anti-fatigue shoe I own (also like Keens, Dansko, Ecco, Mephisto, Merrell). Also have custom orthodics but like the MBT's better. Very soft cushy feel underfoot. Have had multiple knee, ankle, and foot surgeries plus old athletic injuries now going arthritic so shoes are paramount. Perhaps they take a little getting used to regarding the rolling motion, but its nothing anyone who is athletic should have any trouble adjusting to, and they are really fun to rock. Does make you about 2-3 taller. Like others have noted, I might not choose these for scrambling up and down rough hillsides, but for walking around and standing on hard surfaces, they can't be beat. I hope they make more styles and colors to go with things other than jeans. Waiting for the tall black boots shown on Zappos and MBT webpage to get to Sierra and go on sale (ohplease ohplease)
