I have had several sets over the past 5-10 years and they have begun to wear out, so I searched for the same as replacements. I love them! I wash these in cold water and air dry, but over time they shrink in size. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe and buy these in extra large, they are a little big but they do get a little smaller with each washing. One pair will last about 5 to 6 weeks. I have worn out 7 pair but plan to buy many more.

The buttons on the bottom prevent slipping around like Tom Cruise. They are just warm enough. Not so warm that your feet sweat. Don't go outside with these or use in wet places. They will soak up the wet and your feet will be instantly cold. So far have not had problems with wearing through even though we use these almost every morning.

Answer Yes, I think they would work. One reason my husband likes his is that they are cut low enough that they don't bind at the leg. They also have excellent grips on the soles that help prevent slipping and falling.
