I have bought these socks several times over that last ten years. I can't sleep when my feet are cold! They keep your feet warmer in a different way than a regular pair of socks. Very soft. Wash well. Last quite a long time.

For me, these are better than slippers until the weather gets extremely cold. I originally bought them for traction on my hardwood floors and they do give me better footing on the stairs than any of my slippers, other than the rubber-soled ones I wear in winter. The white/grey with a snowflake on the ankle are a bit warmer than the others as the top is a little thicker. Very comfy. I wear them often in spring and fall and the first two pairs that I bought lasted almost two years. Just bought more and they seem to be the same quality.

I love these socks. They did not have my size so I ordered a large-one size up- and they work great. I like that they are not tight fitting. I wear them all over the house on the hard wood and they keep my feet nice and warm. I would recommend these and I hope they get more in! I will order a couple more pair. They are much nicer than most slipper socks made in China. These are made in Germany!
Yes, I think they would work. One reason my husband likes his is that they are cut low enough that they don't bind at the leg. They also have excellent grips on the soles that help prevent slipping and falling.
