As noted by others, the fit is clingy. Definitely made to be an underlayer as opposed to a shirt you can wear on its own (unless you want to show off your body). Bought this for a hiking trip but may just pack it in case, since it's summer and something loose may work better.

Sized a little small but it's supposed to be a snug fitting base layer. Just too itchy for me. It does not feel like merino/angora.

This was to be a gift for my teen son, so I tried it on first to gauge whether it would fit. My first hit is that it was a women's shirt because it was so tight. The Medium is too small for me (I usually wear M to L in women's sizing). The sleeves are a little longer than is usual for Women's, so perhaps it is truly Men's, but holy cow it was tiny for that. Also, I knew that the angora would be itchier than merino, but I didn't expect it to bother me as much as it did. I am returning it because of the size, but not re-ordering because of the itch. If you are not sensitive to itch, and size up at least one, maybe two sizes - this might work for you!

I am really surprised at all the negative reviews. I have to completely disagree with them. These shirts are great. They are European sized (they're from Germany, so that makes sense!) and if you have a slim build, these will fit you perfectly. They do have a trim, athletic fit, which is appropriate for an undershirt, and the material is stretchy so they fit close, but comfortably so. They are cut long so for a tall guy these are great. I am 6'2" with a lanky build; I bought the large size and it's perfect. Also, the fabric is not itchy like some reviewer wrote. The fabric is really high quality, beautiful looking, very warm and lightweight -- not bulky at all. It has a great feel. I have sensitive skin and there are many wool fabrics I can't wear next to my skin, but I have absolutely no problem with these. They are extremely soft and comfortable, and even nicer after a washing. Just make sure to wash delicate with a detergent for wool fabric. I just let them air dry, it doesn't take very long because the fabric is light.

I wear this shirt every day from October to April. I've worn similar shirts that way for years but they have worn out. Now I have four of these which should keep me warm a long time.
