Mephisto Ecuba Leather-Fabric Shoes - Slip-Ons (For Women)

The only confusing aspect was that the color was NOT black, as I'd expected. Beyond that, the shoe was the anticipated "Mephisto" in quality and appearance...just not an appropriate fit for my hard to fit foot. All's well that ends well however. A friend was delighted to benefit by the great bargain price, and for her, the fit was perfect. The color, 'tho' NOT black, was neutral and so usable. Not a bargain for me, but a great bargain for her!

My right foot is longer than my left and sometimes that is not an issue and sometimes it is. It was an issue with these shoes. They might have stretched out but they just weren't that exciting or comfortable to be worth the effort. Generally I love my Mephistos, so I was surprised at that.

I so wanted to love these shoes because I need a good travel shoe. They looked terrific, but when I tried them on, they felt a half size smaller and the right shoe was too tight across the top of my foot. Started feeling discomfort immediately. Sorry, but these are en route back to Sierra Trading Post.

Well made, and worth every penny. But it doesn't have arch support.

Extremely comfortable from the moment I first put these on. Will be great in wet weather as they have a great tread without looking like a sport shoe. So far worn with pants, but would look great with tights and skirts as well. Beautiful brown color. Best price at Sierra.

This is a very comfortable sleek looking show that can be used for both daytime events and casual dinners. I have a high instep and find that the elasticized portion is able to expand over my instep without causing any discomfort whatsoever. Customer service was very helpful in making sure that I received my proper size.

I WEAR THE SHOES

The day the orthopedic surgeon told me to throw away my heels I thought the end of the world had come. Then my physical therapist insisted that if I didn't move into extremely heel-cushioned shoes that I was going to be walking with a cane for the rest of my life - until I moved to a wheelchair. I had to find a shoe that went with professional business suits but HATED all the Mary Janes and clunky shoes with round toes. Then I found these in black and have lived in them for months now. They aren't as stylish as I would like to be wearing but they have kept me walking (quite comfortably!)and don't look half bad with my suits. I love it that I can now find a pair in another color!
