    I have several pairs of Mephistos that I really like, but these do nothing for me at all. They look nice but they slip right off on the first step with no way to settle the foot in place and grip. Not for walking. Maybe okay for displaying the feet.

    I really like the style of these sandals. I own other Mephisto sandals and these appear to be the same great quality. I usually wear an 8.5 but purchased these in size nine. They turned out to be a European 39 which is usually a good fit for me. My fee are on the narrow side and these are pretty snug. Definitely not for a woman with wide feet.

    I found these relatively true to size except the bed of the shoe is almost too narrow and the strap which goes over my toes is almost too loose for my foot. (I have a narrow heel, spreading toes and high arch, and I wear a 6.5 M - the 37 was too big.) However these are extremely comfortable and well-made, and they have enough heel for arch support. I will buy these for their comfort, high-quality and modest good looks.
