These shoes are very comfortable, and the wedge heel keeps them from being frumpy.

These are great shoes, very comfortable, I very much liked the idea of black suede. However, the suede nap does not seem very deep, easily looking scruffed and scratched. In fact when I received them I thought the had been worn because there was scruffing on the toe where it had rested against the box. A good brush, used frequenty well keep them looking good. As a dressier shoe the other problem I had was the Mesphisto fabric lable sewn on the outside seaming of each shoe. I know its a prestigious brand, but I don't think it's appropriate in a dress shoe. Other than those minor points I really like them.
    • Pros: Comfortable, Good Cushioning
    • Sizing: Feels true to size
    • Width: Feels true to width

About Mephisto

After studying in the United States for six years, twenty-seven year old Martin Michaeli returned to Europe and founded Mephisto, a company that soon became synonymous with extraordinary footwear. Michaeli received his first patent for his special shoemaking process in 1973 and transformed Mephisto into a global brand just two years later. Famous for comfort, Mephisto utilizes exclusive technologies and offers finely crafted shoes with excellent cushioning, support, and breathability. The Air-Techno or fresh air system constantly circulates air throughout the shoe to avoid odor and clamminess. Air-Relax midsoles, Air-Step cushioned removable insoles, and the Soft Walk shock absorbing system are a few more Mephisto breakthroughs that define their continued popularity. Refreshing and rejuvenating, each and every step taken in a Mephisto feels like the first.
