Reviewed by Mary from Denver on Friday, June 7, 2013Have always appreciated Merrell's well-built and comfortable shoes.
I bought this style for work as I am on my feet for up to 8 hrs at work.
Initially they were very tight across the middle of my foot and I don't
have wide feet, although I ordered a medium width. They have loosened
somewhat, but are not as comfortable as I expected across this area.
Otherwise, they have good support and are well made. Perhaps w/time,
although I typically don't like breaking in shoes, they will get looser in the
mid-area of the shoe.
Reviewed by Anon from Earth on Tuesday, June 4, 2013I got these because Merrell apparently discontinued the best work shoes *ever*, the Emme Spire mary janes, and I was hoping that these would be similar enough to be okay. They are, as I have come to expect from Merrell shoes, quite comfortable - though the toe in these is narrower than the Emme Spires and does pinch a little bit until the leather stretches to accommodate one's foot. However, they're just not very attractive. The big wide band over the ankle, as opposed to the Spire's thinner strap that falls further down the foot, is not pretty, and there's an ugly seam right down the middle of the toe (!). So, as functional as the Emme Spires, but the aesthetics are not nearly as nice. I'll wear these till they wear out but sadly, after that I think I'll have to find a non-Merrell work shoe.
Reviewed by gardensong from north of oston on Thursday, April 18, 2013These shoes are not stiff as some other Merrells I have tried. They fit and are comfortable and stable and look good!!! Recommended!
Question “I am on my feet for up to 10 hours a day and need a solid, supportive, comfortable
shoe. Are these shoes true to size? I usually wear a women's 8, but would be putting
a Nikken magstride inside the shoe for added comfort, so am wondering if I should go
up 1/2 a size. Please inform...thanks! ”
Answer According to our fit models these shoes are running true to size and width.
