they do look nice, and they are comfortable. They run a little wide, but not terribly so, which is quite nice. the combination of black with the primarily brown isn't my favorite look, but it's minor enough most won't notice it. Great for walking in, both casual and bus casual at office. But they do not breathe. Your feet, if at all prone to perspiration, will be damp after 8-10 hours in these shoes. If you're OK with that, excellent choice. If you're a profuse foot sweater...might want to look for another shoe.

My husband really likes the quality of Merrill shoes. They are comfortable at his job where he stands all day long. These are the shorter versions of some hightops i got him before, so they may cause some ankle discomfort (we don't know yet), but he has been happy with every pair of merrill's he's gotten so far. Sierra Rocks!

Work & casual wear are great

I've worn these shoes a lot since I bought them. They look great with jeans, are very comfortable and so far are holding up well. They have a gum sole without any tread, so I wouldn't recommend them as winter shoes, but they'll be a regular item until the snow flies. I've never been disappointed with Merrell.

I LIKE 'EM

These just came in today and seem to fit pretty well, the design is a mix of retro and modern somehow and with the discounts were a very fair price.

I normally wear a 9.5 (Cole Haan)and needed a 10 in these. Quite comfortable, they run a bit hot and are best worn when it is cool (ie, not > 80). My wife likes them, my daugher hates them, I find them comfortable and sufficiently different to be interesting and good weekend wear.

Stylish and very comfortable!

Very comfy and stylish. A cut above the rest in materials used, and not huge logos on the side. Walk 2.2 miles/day 5 days/wk and holding up well. They haven't seen rain, so not sure about that.
