Reviewed by Foot Loose from New Jersey on Tuesday, June 04, 2013I've been wearing my new barefoot road gloves practically everyday since I purchased them and I've have to admit, I'm more than satisfied. They could not have chosen a better name for this shoe than- "Road glove'. The fit and feel is perfect. I usually can't wait to get my shoes off once I get home, but I hardly notice I'm still wearing shoes when I get home now. I did my research before buying, so I knew they would take some time to break in. The only part of my body that really got achy were my achilles. I travel via public transportation and do quite a bit of walking everyday. It's been about 7 days now and my achilles are starting to feel normal again. The feeling of being in sensory contact with the ground is very reassuring. It's like having eyes in your feet. No stone, slope, crack or slippery surface is left unturned. My body just makes the proper adjustment to ensure a smooth transition with each step. When I purchased my Barefoot's, Sierra had by for the best price for this model. Unfortunately, this particular shoe is a dinosaur. I've seen the latest model of the Glove that Merrel is distributing and I still prefer the look of this model. Hopefully, when it's time for me to get a new pair, they'll have a new model that I like. Either way, I'll probably be purchasing another pair after I wear these out.

Reviewed by Jeff from ATL on Sunday, June 02, 2013I was skeptical about these since they are so light. But after 2-wks of wearing them, I'm thinking about buying another pair. They are definitely sized for wear without a sock. I normally wear a size 10 and there is no way I could wear these with a sock unless I went up a half to whole size. But that's not the point. They are meant to be worn w/o a sock.
