Trouble with Q-Form

I hike, climb, and do field work in my Merrells. I have worn Merrell Explorer hiking boots for over 10 years and absolutely loved the fit and comfort of these boots - which were great straight out of the box. Thus, I wanted Merrells again when I was ready for new hiking boots. However, for some reason, I struggle with the Q-Form Comfort system. A year ago, I bought a pair of Merrell hiking shoes (not boots) that also had Q-Form. The shoes fit well and looked great, but something about the Q-Form gave me quite pronounced heel pain (not blisters) for 3-5 weeks before they finally broke in and the heel pain subsided. I tried the Merrell Chameleon Arc 2's, which also fit well, but ultimately, I opted to avoid the Q-Form and returned these boots. If Q-Form works for you, everything else about this boot seems excellent.
