Sizing seems right and the quality is high. This hiking shoe is a testament to Merrell's demand for a high quality product for the consumer. These are so comfortable they are replacing my old herding shoes/boots especially on those SE days of rain and more rain.

I ordered up a half-size as recommended, and the shoes are completely comfortable. They're a little heavier than the Merrell Sirens they replace, but not enough to be an issue. And the sale price was great.

Sadly, I don't think they will hold up well for any type of actual hiking but hopefully they will be OK for light use.

These are no exception though I think it is because these shoes actually try to make me walk 'normally' but with my bunion that is almost impossible. Have taken several 15-30 minute walks in them and have had a little pain, but not much. The right foot (without bunion) feels great! I did order 1/2 size larger based on previous reviews. Expecting good things with these hikers!

The funny thing is, the left shoe fits fine but the arch support is slightly off in the right one. To be fair, my left foot is rather screwy with bunions, hammer toes and advanced arthritis. I had surgery on the right and it's kinda okay. Also, these shoes are stiff, and will need some breaking in. They look great and seem to be as advertised otherwise. The weather has warmed up and I'm now wearing sandals so won't know more until it cools back down.
