Merrell Chameleon Arc Hiking Shoes - Vented (For Women)

Nice to buy a pair of shoes through Sierra that I just put on and go! NO break in period, rubbing or time to get used too. Feels like I have worn these for years, comfortable and really appreciate the high arch support.

I am small so a lightweight shoe is better for me than a big stiff backpacking boot. This one is the best of all worlds for me. Love it so far!

I love these shoes. They run just a tad small - I ordered a half size larger than I usually wear and they are perfect.

Once I got the right size, the boots are exactly what I was looking for -- lightweight, immediately comfortable, and sturdy. Great price too.

These were my second pair of Merrells and I think they run a tiny bit narrow but I think they also stretched a bit as I wore them, so it was just fine. They also took a little bit of breaking in - or maybe I wore the wrong socks. But on my first hike, which was straight up for 2 hours and then right back, straight down -- they were a lifesaver! It was raining and very wet, lots of mud and slippery rocks. I didn't fall and I could feel the lovely support they offered to my ankles. My feet also stayed dry. After this fast paced hike, I had no pain. That to me means that they're perfect.

I told my husband if this particular Merrell showed up at Sierra Trading Post that I was going to snatch it up. With good reason: I am on my second summer of wearing this particular model. I hike on rough terrain every single day. I do this at least for an hour, usually more. Every feature offered in this shoe plays an important roll in my enduring my daily hikes. I was first drawn to this style because of the ventilator feature. These are so light, but so stable with the Q - Form feature. Merrell's do pretty well consistently run 1/2 size smaller, so I always order one 1/2 size larger and I am able to wear light to even heavy hiking socks. My new pair feel just like my older pair. My main reason for always purchasing Merrels is because I have severe arthritis in my knees and hips. The air cushioning, the Q- form, the lightness and stability are pretty well responsible for my continued mobility.

I never wore mine before hitting the trail. 8 miles later they felt great. We hiked in snow and they stayed dry!

nice look to the shoe, but too small/narrow. not sure about sturdiness since i didn't have the chance to wear them, and unfortunately, stp does not compensate returns even when they don't carry the next size up.

These look really stable and have good ankle support. I have not used them for hiking yet.
